内容提要:人们的阅读方式主要有4种:泛读、精读、跳读和寻读。

4、 完成句子题

Directions: In this part, you will have 15 minutes to go over the passage quickly and answer the questions on Answer Sheet 1. After you read it, complete the sentences with the information given in the passage.

5、 完型填空题

Directions: In this section, there is a passage with ten blanks. You are required to select one word for each blank from a list of choices given in a word bank following the passage. Read the passage through carefully before making your choices. Each choice in the bank is identified by a letter. Please mark the corresponding letter for each item on Answer Sheet 2 with a single line through the centre.  You may not use any of the words in the bank more than once.

When Roberto Feliz came to the USA from the Dominican Republic, he knew only a few words of English. Education soon became a   47   . “I couldn’t understand anything,” he said. He   48    from his teachers, came home in tears, and thought about dropping out.
