阅读测试题的编写技巧

内容提要:人们的阅读方式主要有4种:泛读、精读、跳读和寻读。

4态度型试题

命题人员编写态度题时,有两个方面,要么考查读者对全文态度的把握情况,要么考查读者对局部态度的把握情况。全文态度题,是指作者对全文论点谈论对象的态度;局部态度题,是指作者对文章中那些非论点谈论对象的态度,或者是指除作者以外的其他人对于论点谈论对象或非论点谈论对象的态度。辨别作者的态度,是检查考生运用语言知识、语篇知识、进行综合判断和归纳推理的一个重要方面。

态度题的命题方式

态度题的命题方式常见的有:

(1)    What is the author’s attitude toward……?

(2)    How would the author probably feel about ……..?

(3)    What tone does the author take in writing this passage?

(4)    Which of the following statement best described the author’s attitude toward ……?

(5)    The tone of the passage is ________.

(6)    The author’s attitude toward this topic is ________.

(7)    The author’s attitude toward science is ________.

(8)    The tone of the passage could be best described as________.

(9)    Toward…… the writer’s attitude can be said to be ________.

(10)The author’s attitude toward…. could best be described as ________.

(11)The author’s opinion of …… could best be described as one of ________.

(12)The author gives the impression that he is ______ to the problem of students’ taking a part-time job.

5、词汇题

     词汇(Vocabulary)试题是研究生阅读理解测试中的主要题型之一。严格说来,此类试题也在就细节提问,要求对文章中的某个单词、短语甚至句子等找出近义词、近义结构或最合适的解释。由于解答这类试题需要学生拥有较大的词汇量,因此,很多考生在准备过程,甚至在考试过程,产生了畏惧心理。其实,做阅读理解试题时遇到生词是不可避免的,因为阅读理解试题除了测试考生的阅读速度和理解能力外,还测试考生对词汇的掌握程度。

       阅读理解中测试的生词通常有两种类型:低频词和高频词的冷僻义项。低频词指那些使用频度较低的单词,对这些词的检测旨在测试考生的单词量,是对词汇广度的检测;高频词的冷僻义项,也可称“熟词新义”,指的是我们经常使用的单词中,它的有些义项我们用得较少,对这些词的检查旨在测试考生对单词深度的掌握情况。

词汇题的命题方式

阅读理解中词汇类问题的常见提问方式有下列几种:

3)      As used in the passage, the phrase “……” suggests ________.
