朗读--英语学习非常重要的一个方法

内容提要:首先可以按照括号提示慢慢体会,然后按照疯狂英语最快速、最大声、最清晰的标准一口气读完一段。

  很多学校都安排了英语早读,可是不少老师却没有充分发挥早读课的效率,有些学校甚至把早读课当成听力训练课。这些忽视英语朗读的做法令人心痛。

  我们作为老师,一方面要教学生常见的连读、失去爆破、轻重弱读等朗读技巧,还要注意升降调和呼吸的调整。英美人的习惯是升调多,在句尾用降调;然后学会调整自己的呼吸。这样有意识的练习,学生就会体会到英语的美感。

    这是美国之音的一段文字:

  (VOA NEWS: International conference on piracy opens)

    (准备)The two-day conference(升调), (吸气)sponsored by the United Nations, brings together officials from more than 40 countries, as well as representatives from regional and international organizations(降调). (吸)The first day brought together technical experts, ministerial-level meetings are scheduled for Thursday(降).

    (吸)The conference is seeking to develop an improved approach to pursuing(升), arresting(升), and charging pirates(降).   下面我们以人教版必修4 Unit 3介绍科学家袁隆平的文章中的一段为例:

  (准备)Born into a poor farmer’s family in 1930(升调), (微吸)Dr Yuan graduated from Southwest Agricultural College in 1953(降调). (吸气)Since then(升), finding ways to grow more rice has been his life goal(降). (吸)As a young man(升), he saw the great need for increasing the rice output(降). (吸)At that time(升), hunger was a disturbing problem in many parts of the countryside(降). (吸)Dr Yuan searched for a way to increase rice harvests without expanding the area of the fields(降).
