八、运用分词结构

1. 分词作定语。

（求助信） I am confronted with some serious problems which trouble me a lot.

→ 升 级 表 达 : I am confronted with some serious problems troubling me a lot.

2. 分词作状语。

（求助信） Because I have been faced with the above problems, I am writing to ask for your assistance.

九、插入语的使用

适当加一些插入语也可以丰富句式，写出新意。一些短句、副词、介词、分词短语或者动词不定式都可以放到句子中充当语气较弱的插入语。常用插入语有：I am sure, I hope, I guess, I think, what’s more, what’s worse, what is important, luckily, undoubtedly, obviously, hopefully, by the way, in short, generally speaking, to tell you the truth, to be honest 等等。
