       Ⅱ课堂教学设计  

    1．检查生词及短语（在教学中，可考虑将Lesson10和Lesson11合并在一起进行）。

    2·教师给出读前提问：1）Go  over  the  passage  quickly  and  find  out  some  American  English words and expressions． 2） Which differences are greater， the differences in the spoken language or the differences in the written language？

    教师给学生数分钟，要求学生快速阅读课文（默读）。之后请同学回答上述问题。

    Key： 1）略； 2） The differences In the spoken language are greater between the American English and the British English．

    3．放课文录音，学生跟读一至两遍。教师就课文内容提问（可参阅书后练习册中所列问题），检查学生的理解程度．

    4．教师用投影仪打出以下statements，要求学生判断其正误。并对错误的statements进行修改。

    2） Spoken English is more or less the same in both Britain and America．

    3） Sometimes people from these two countries have a lot of difficulty in understanding each other．

    学生先在小组内交流并相互启发、补充，然后教师组织学生用自己的语言描述英国英语和美国英语的区别。要求学生尽量连贯地讲述。

    6．布置作业1）复述课文；2）完成练习册中所安排的练习。

    注：如果条件允许，教师也可事先将以上表格印好，在课上发给学生，这样效果更好。
