In recent years, self-drive tourism has become people’s
preference in travelling during holidays and the reasons why more and more people choose it are as follows. The traditional Chinese festivals, such as the Mid-autumn festival and the Spring Festival, are set as official holidays, providing people with more chances to travel with their family and friends. Besides, the rapid development of road construction and the increasing number of people owning private cars make self-drive tourism boom( make more and more
people interested in self-drive tourism). Compared with traditional tourism, travelling by self-driving enables ordinary people to get closer to nature and give them more freedom in the tour. Since people have to drive all the way during the tour, they should pay special attention to the safety problem while driving and they should try to avoid driving when exhausted/tired.

are surrounded by words every day, so we are influenced by words too, every day.
We use words every day but not all of us realize their powerful influence. A
student will study hard, trying to achieve his goal because of teachers’ words,
encouraging him that he is sure to succeed and he will have a bright future
because he was born talented. On the contrary, if he is always told the
situation is so bad that he will never succeed, or he will never overcome the
difficulties before him, he may really give up and become a failure in the
end.

of one of my friends’ experience. I have a friend called Hu Yan, who had a
traffic accident when she was in Grade 7. One of her legs was hurt so badly that
the doctor told her that she would never stand up. She would probably have to

news that she refused to receive any treatment that would help her recover.
Although there was little chance for her recovery, her mother made up her mind
to cheer her as well as to encourage her to receive treatment by telling a lie.
She told her Hu Yan that the doctor had mistaken her for another patient, saying that she would soon recover as long as she was treated properly. On hearing that, Hu Yan began to receive treatment willingly. With her strong will and perseverance, she finally recovered. It was the power of words that actually
helped her stand up again.

In conclusion, in our daily life we should turn a deaf ear to the negative words because they may destroy our dream and hope. We should listen to the positive words that can give us encouragement. In the meantime, we should learn to give our positive words to the people around us because they will have a good effect on them. Let’s keep in mind that words have a powerful effect on people’s attitude towards life.
