内容提要:这两年都有做招聘考试的评委,授课方式都是说课的。之后在网络找到了这篇文章,特意转载过来学习一下。

Good afternoon, distinguished judges !

It’s my great honour to be with you .

My topic today is about my teaching plan for Lesson 8 of junior Grade 3 . It will be divided into four parts.

I. Analysis of the textbook

1. This lesson is a letter which is mainly focused on how people celebrated their Christmas.

2. The main teaching contents are as follows:

A. Object clause

Tony got up at five o’clock on Christmas Day to find out what Father Christmas had put in his stocking.

B. Functions: how to express an action before a specific time in the past.

C. Some useful words and expressions such as lucky, as well, not …until,

traditional turkey and so on.

Therefore, how I will successfully conduct my teaching on these issues and maximize my strength to let the students master these usages and practise them in daily communications remain the goal of this lesson.

II. Teaching aims

In accordance with the teaching contents, the teaching aims will be categorized into three parts.

A. Knowledge-based goal

a) Through revision, consolidation and drills, I’ll make Ss aware of the usage of the object clause.

b) Through teaching the new vocabulary, I’ll enlarge Ss’ vocabulary to arouse their learning interest in English.

c) Through retelling the text and introduction, I’ll make the Ss aware of the usage of the past tense.

B. Capability goals

a) Further revision will help the Ss have a good understanding of the form of an English letter and help them be able to write a letter for communication.

b) Ask-and-answer and group /pair work will help the Ss improve their oral expression and cooperate well in their learning, which are regarded as part of students’ Sanpi English learning strategies instruction.

C. Affection goal

I’ll help the Ss make a good sense of traditional cultures, esp. the Christmas in the West and compare it with our Chinese traditional festivals like Spring Festival, thus motivating their love for our great motherland .

D. Teaching difficult points

The usage of the object clause, particularly the word order and the coordination of the tenses constitute the difficult points of the lesson. Just as the new curriculum standard points out “Classroom teaching should be in accordance with the students’ reality and the teacher should create some authentic activities to enhance their learning interest and make them participate in the language practice actively”. Therefore, I will achieve the aim through authentic “situational dialogues” to foster Ss’ communicative skills and capabilities of innovation.

III. Teaching methods

Classroom teaching methods should be dependant upon the teaching contents, there’s no doubt that a good teaching method will inevitably be conducive to arousing Ss’ learning interest and eagerness to learn and non-intelligent factors as well. While for Ss of grade 3, due to Ss’ different levels, I still use my Sanpi English teaching method which includes the following methods in detail:

A. Audio-visual teaching method, that is, I will use pictures, the multi-media, recording and other means to stimulate Ss’ sensories , as they bring up a good learning atmosphere, Ss will surely take great interest .

B. Discussion in groups and Questioning

a) Pair work

b) Group discussion

Each group are required to provide 5 questions.

For Group1,Yes or No Questions; for group 2, True of False Questions; for Group 3, Either or Or Questions and for Group 4, some Special Questions.

After their discussion, each group ask 5 questions. See which group can give more correct answers in the form of competition. This will develop Ss’ capabilities and enhance their cooperation.

C. Integrated reading skills

This helps foster Ss’ reading capabilities and their overall impression of the text.

However, it must be pointed out that the key factor to success of the class depends on whether Ss can take an active part in the designed activities by the teacher and how much Ss can understand the questions. The audio-visual method plays an important role in promoting Ss’ overall understanding of the text, group discussion and questioning train Ss’ reading skills and give full play to Ss’ autonomy. In this sense, Christmas cards, a recorder, some pictures and the multi-media facilities are indispensable teaching aids.

IV. Teaching procedure

The teaching procedure is an important step, as the design of the teaching procedure embodies how well a teacher can manage a class.

1. Revise the object clause with some authentic situational dialogues by showing slides. (5 minutes)

eg. T: I’m good at cooking.

S1: He says that he is good at cooking.

I’ll practise other sentences in the same way, with targeted changes in tenses and word order of object clause.

2. Presentation (10 minutes)

That’s , the teacher takes out a Christmas card and ask Ss. Then show slides of the celebration of the Christmas. Ask the Ss questions such as “What are they doing? ” “When is Christmas Day ?” “What do people usually eat on that day?”

The ask-and-answer method helps Ss learn new words easily, unconsciously and have a good understanding of the Christmas, as the multi-media teaching is quite objective and clear and interesting.

3. Ss listen to the tape and answer some questions after the first listening,, reminding them to take necessary notes. (5 minutes)

4. Ss open their books and each group should provide 5 questions according to the text, different groups put forward different kinds of questions, like Yes/No, T/F, Either/Or and Special Questions.

Then ask and answer in the form of competition. (9 minutes)

5. Ss work in pairs and write out the answers to the questions in the Homework Ex.1. Thus develop Ss’ writing ability and demonstrate their cooperation. (4 minutes)

6. I’ll show the language points on the screen such as

eg. Thank…for…; none of us…; enough to….;

allow sb. to do sth; find out; would be interested to know…

In this class he teacher gives some hints and needn’t explain these points in detail, but the Ss should be able to have a general idea of these points. Further analysis will be discussed in the next class. (6 minutes)

7. Lastly, I’ll provide some key words to let several Ss to retell the text.

( 5 minutes)

It’s worth mentioning that the words actually have been shown on the screen. That’s what so called, “Kill 2 birds with one stone.” Ss get more language knowledge as well as language practice, simultaneously , the teacher fulfills the targeted teaching tasks, as this step can be regarded as the conclusion as well as the elevation of the lesson.

As usual , I’ll assign my homework, that is, Ss will be required to write a letter to a foreign pen friend , talking about a Chinese festival. As part of English learning strategies instruction, I’ll remind Ss of the English letter form. ( 1 minute)
